Why Changing the Perception of School Meals Matters.
School meals matter because they play a crucial role in the health of students, providing essential nutrients that support their growth and academic performance. To gain more respect from administrators, parents and the community, it's vital to change the perception surrounding school nutrition programs from low skilled workers to highly skilled professionals. Shifting this viewpoint is a pathway to value through increased participation which supports higher wages. Driving a positive image of school nutrition programs and empowering employees with a sense of ownership can create an environment that prioritizes a healthy school meals program and its impact on learning.
